We are now in Palolem, a beach village in Goa, on the coast of the Arabian Sea. It's not an isolated end-of-the-world hippie hangout, but it's small enough to make an acceptable choice for those who hate the streaming crowds of western tourists that have invaded the northern beaches by busloads, and large enough to provide a decent variety of restaurants, bars and reliable internet cafes.
